Frequently Asked Questions

Germproofing consists of taking a compound called titantium dioxide and then specially spraying it onto surfaces. In the presence of light, the coating reacts with moisture in the air to create powerful hydroxide radicals. These kill organic matter like germs, viruses, bacteria, mold, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), odors, and more. Read more and see a video on our how it works page.

Yes! Titanium dioxide has been extensively tested and proven safe. It is already found in many products like lotion, sunscreen, makeup, and even milk!
It is completely transparent and only micrometers thick. You will never see it or know it’s there.
Our germproof coating can be applied to stone, masonry, plastics, ceramics, metals, wood, painted surfaces, glass, textiles, leather and carpet. A very light mist coat is all that is necessary, so any surface that can tolerate a light mist of water can be coated.
It kills all types! This includes all forms of bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew, fungus. So things like the common cold, or deadly things like MRSA, HIV, or E.Coli are all killed by our germproof coating.
All carbon based types of VOCs. This includes: ammonia, acetone, benzene, chloroform, formaldehyde, propane, acetaldehyde, nitrous oxides, hydrogen sulfide, and more. This includes things like cigarette and tobacco smoke, human and pet odors, clorine gas, chemical cleaning agents, and more.
It is a liquid suspension that is sprayed onto a surface via a HVLP sprayer or an industrial electrostatic sprayer.
None whatsoever. The product does not become airborne nor does it have an odor. In fact, odors will be reduced because of the coating.
Treated surfaces last up to two years. It does not come off readily except with high-power bleach. Frequently used and cleaned surfaces last about a year. While other surfaces usually last up to 5 years.
